I would be very pleased to se more flexibility in defining contents of custom columns., namely 2 things:
1. No mendatory columns ( name + ext ). I don't dead them when browsing
music.
2. conditional formating, like in winamp playlist.
Keep up the GREAT job !

Oh, i just remembert. Remembering display filters per tab would be nice too
I second the request to hide filename and extension... I don't need them for my images and need more space for EXIF data in the display.
Also, some sort of conditional columns seems necessary... if the dimensions of a graphic aren't in the EXIF data, I would want them obtained by a content plugin that can read the file dimensions directly.
Finally, I want to be able to show the file extension in the first column in full view.
If they are necesary there could be an option to hide them. When i make them small, they still visible in the next column ( ext ), making it unreadable. Or at least a posibility to change their position, so that i could make them the last (hidden) ones.
And about flexibility: eg. if_exist [ title] then show [artist"-"[album"-"][title] else show [filename].
And ability of tabs to have different and rememberd display filter, so that I could Heve semi-locked tab Images pointing to the root of my images directory showing only images .
I also was a bit disappointed that it's impossible to delete (hide) these two columns. I wonder what Christian think about it - will it be possible to change it?

Right, that would be nice, although this could be done by the content plugin itself (of course you won't have that much flexibility like that).
Another thing:
Related to the width of name and extension columns, you can make them very small indeed, but if you make them too small, name & ext become fully visible and superpose on the next column (rather messyly). Isn't this a bug?

BTW, I used a custom view with Size right-aligned, otherwise it's even more messy.
