[BUG] Clicking on empty space in Sync Dialog

Post by *icfu »

Clicking "in the same column" in the empty space below the lower checkbox leads to the lower checkbox to be changed, double clicking somewhere in the empty space leads to a file compare.

I think this behaviour is not by design as it can lead to unwanted results like accidental data loss.

Sorry, I don't quite understand your report. Where do you click? Which sync dialog, the one of the comparison, or the one where you select the copying options?

1. initiate cm_FileSync, make sure that the file at the bottom exists on both sites and is not equal
2. press compare
3. double click *anywhere* in the free space -> file compare of lowest result is initiated
4. click *in same column* -> lowest checkbox is changed

Do you use Windows XP? This sounds like the listbox bug of the new XP-style listbox which was already affecting the main window...

Yep, XP SP2.
The bug was a nice one in the main panels because it was an easy way to switch a dir up but in the sync dialog it's really dangerous if the lower box changes accidentally.

I could reproduce it in the meantime - ot's indeed the listbox bug introduced by Windows XP's new styled controls. Microsoft really had a bad day when they designed them, they are full of other bugs. :(

I confirm there's no problem whatsoever on Win2K.
