Edit comment - button for quick delete comment (content of comment field)

Post by *oko »

Please add buttons to quick action in Edit Comment mainly:
Delete comment - deletes all text in comment field and closes Edit Comment window.

But there could be added also:
Add date - adds date at the current cursor position
Add filename - adds filename at the current cursor position
Add path - adds full path of commented file at the current cursor position
etc.

1. Menu files - Change attributes
2. Click "More attributes"
3. Set TC - Comment - (empty field)
4. Press F2, Save settings
5. Enter a name, e.g. removecomment
6. Create new button with command:
OPENATTRIBUTES=removecomment

Note: This works on all currently selected files/folders!

Thank you for advice but it is not optimal solution for me. I do not use it often and in most cases I used to view comment for one file only and when comment is not actual I used to delete it. Therefore button on buttonbar is not worth. The button in edit comment window would be sufficient and makes work quicker and in place. I think the button in buttonbar has the disadvantage that does not show comment first, resp. it does not work when comment window is shown.

Yes, I use ctrl+a, del, F2. Three (four) keypress and each on the other side of keyboard. It would be nice to have one button. It is very common button in fill windows in general.
