Thank your for the update. Are there any changes necessary to the list of possible values (None||128 Bit AES||256 Bit AES)?

Ah - you made that translatable too! That would be:

Code: Select all

Ingen||128 Bit AES||256 Bit AES

Thank you! ;-)
Actually it's a feature of the content plug-in interface not of my plug-in.

Has gone, but…

:) Hello Christian !

- The bug has gone, thanks, but with that ß, the info-text tells always “Is a solid archive : NO”, even when I set "Create a solid archive” in the settings…
• Is it a problem of the contents for that field, or is the “solid” creation failing ?

I cannot reproduce this. Is there anyone having the same problem?

- This issue disappears after you have closed¦restarted TC ! Then, the column and the info-text tells "YES"…

That really sounds strange :-(
Anyway it's not an issue of the packer plug-in.

And the opposite…

Post by *Clo »

:) Funny issue !

- I tested removing the nick for "Create a solid archive", then the info-text and the column tells still "YES" - that is wrong- and I got the right info after I restarted TC…
- The info for the contents is not changed as long as you don't restart TC…
- But it's random, sometimes it's saved, sometimes it isn't…

The info for the contents is not changed
Not changed means it must have been different before for the same archive. That means you are talking about an existing archive which is changed from a solid archive to a non solid archive or vice-versa, right?
Please consider that the content plug-in caches information until you point to another file for speed reasons. A restart should not be required.

Press both---

 Tss, tss… I mean that I created several archives successively, and changed the "solid" setting for each.
- I guess I found out the reason:
- Despite I change only this setting, I must press the "Apply" button first, then "OK" and the created archive has always the right info immediately…
- Pressing only "OK" does that you get the previous state of the option for the info, as long as you don't restart TC.
{ I remember that you said that "Apply" is useless for a single change, but with that ß, it's no longer true … }

I'm sorry this sounds absolutely confusing to me :?
You know that I always want to help but in this case I have to admit that I'm far from understanding your concern.
It's up to you to make it understandable.

Here is how to reproduce what Clo is talking about:

1. pack a file where the "Create solid archive" is ticked.
2. close TC
3. open TC and open the same directory in boths panels
4. in the left side choose Full view
5. in the right panel choose a Custom columns view with a column that has [=totalsqx. Is Solid Archive] as one of the columns.
6. choose some files in the left panel
7. press Alt+F5
8. click the "Configure" button
9. remove the tickmark in the "Create solid archive" box
10. click OK
11. click OK
12. look at the just created sqx archive in the right panel - here it says YES under Is Solid Archive !!!!
13. close TC
14. do 3, 4, 5 and 12 again - now it correctly says NO under Is Solid Archive!

Addendum: Now I tried this again - and it didn't happen - I will test some more later.
