Difference between F5 in TC and Ctrl-C in Explorer?

Post by *Zenman »

This question arises from this thread:
http://www.ghisler.ch/board/viewtopic.php?t=9291&sid=f4ed444228921ced0479151b74c03445

explorer can install fonts while coping, wile TC can't.

My question is :
Is there other cases in which TC (F5/F6) behavors differently from explorer (Ctrl_C/Ctrl/V) when copy/pasting files/dirs?

Thanks!

In short, all Explorer shell related functions are not handled by TC copy function.

Some examples:
1. Registry is not automatically updated to reflect the new position when moving "special" folders like myfiles.
2. TC doesn't support shell links that can be created by http://www.pearlmagik.com/winbolic/ for example.
In short shell links are "emulated" junctions that also work on FAT/FAT32, W9X and can span network shares.
3. TC ignores orders in desktop.ini files.
etc...
