[?bug?]Ctrl+L and Shift+Ctrl+L same effect?

Post by *mrbeeye »

I've read thru Keyboard layout and found only Ctrl+L responsible for
'Calculate occupied space (of the selected files)'.

But also Ctrl+Shift+L has same effect.

I've been gotten used to use Shift+Ctrl+L to launch an application.

It really annoys me.

Using TC 6.53 without any tweaks.

It seems that TC is just ignoring the Shift key here. Just redefine the hotkey in Configuration - Options - Misc if you want to use it for something else!

How? It did not worked!

I want TC to ignore Ctrl+Shift+L. I've got specialized application responding for key shortcuts.

Please create an new Starter menu entry. from TC menu "Start->Change Start menu":

In the dialog: Add Item
and give a name (e.g. My Ctrl L Application).

Then the cursor is in the line command. Here you can add:

Command:c:\program files\MyShiftCtrl_L_Application\Programfile.exe
Paramters:-s %1 (or any Parameter you use to pass to the program - could of course be empty if no Params are needed)
Start Path: c:\program files\MyShiftCtrl_L_Application\ (here you may enter any path to switch to before starting the program - if needed)
Shortcut key: (this should stay empty - because of the restrictions of the Shortcuts from within this dialog)

You can access these Starter entries with the cm_usermenuX commands. The first entry is cm_usermenu1 and so on. When you have saved this entry in the Startmenu and it is the first one you may open Conifguration->Options->Misc and set the Ctrl + Shift + L to cm_usermenu1. That will open your application.

It is a bit elaborate, but there is no other way currently.
