Filedate changes after copying

Post by *microkid »

I need to keep a large directoy in sync between my PC and a network share. I therefore copy the whole directory once using TC. But, when I copy the files to the network share, all filedates are changed to the date and time the file was written to the share, so all files end us with the same date and time (e.g. 3 jan 2005, 15:38 ). When I do the same using the Windows Explorer, the date and time of the file is maintained and not changed.
Due to the filedate changing, I cannot use the Synchronize option. It seems TC uses a different copy method. I already tried "copy date/time of directories" but this didn't help.
How can this be solved?

If the network drive is mapped, try using Configuration - Options - Copy/Delete - Use compatibility mode for the following drives.

Another approach would be to use Ctrl-C, Ctrl-V. Descript.ions don't get copied this way, though.

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.
