Irfan View and .wlx files?

Post by *nwalters »

I've installed IrfanViewer and it works fine with F3 for list.
But it doesn't work in Cntl-Q mode. What do I need to change?

On my laptop, it works fine, and I don't have any .wlx registered, but on a new desktop the CNTL-Q doesn't work. When I try to register the plug in, it asked for the .wlx file. I cannot find any .wlx files, so I'm not sure what it is asking for.

I have searched Google for "irfan .wlx" and not finding anything.
What am I missing?

Thanks,
Neal

IrfanView has nothing to do with WLX files, I don't know what you are trying to install there.
To make IrfanView work just install it and add the path to irfanview.exe in lister configuration.

Please elaborate on this mystery statement (I'm really not stupid, but I'm missing something here).
To make IrfanView work just install it and add the path to irfanview.exe in lister configuration.
In Total Commander, I click Menu "Configuration" then "Options..." then choose "Plugins" on the left. Am I okay so far?

Then I click lister plug-ins, and it wants then the "Add" button, and it will only accept .WLX files.

So how and where do I "add the path to irfanview.exe in lister configuration? Is there some other "lister config" that I'm missing?

Thanks again,
Neal

Configuration->Options->Edit/view:Configure internal viewer->Use Irfanview/XNView for graphics other than bitmap:Path

Hope that helps

I origionally had problems with that too. There's a configuration in Lister too. That's where you put the path to infaview.

When you see it, you get to have one of those duh!! moments.
