The release of Total Commander 6.54 final is nearing! As a test for future beta tests of major releases, I have decided to publish an official public beta version before the release. I think that this version is sufficiently stable to be used by a larger number of users. Please keep in mind that this is still a BETA version, so be careful with new functions! The final version will be announced through our homepage and mailing list.

What's new in Total Commander public beta 1?
The most important feature is unpacking support for the new unzip methods BZIP2 and PPMd, which can be created with programs like Winzip.
There are also many fixes, see the file history654.txt.
