[OT] recording desktop activity application

Post by *gbo »

Hello,

I am looking for a tool which will allow to record my PC desktop activity to an AVI/MPEG file or other video formats. Freeware if possible.

Anyone could advice for such a tool? I only need basic functions.

TIA

CamStudio doesn't work after evalutaion period (though some older version is free, IIRC).

You can also try HyperCam or AviScreen.

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.

There are tons of recorders for AVI but only a few free ones for flash.

The most popular one is Wink i guess.

Thanks to all,

I will try the different suggestions and see which one fits best to my needs, flash format sounds good because I want to put online some stuff I created with a 3D software.

Have a nice day

Try DemoStudio, it's some kind of successor of CamStudio and not limited afaik:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/demostudio/

For encoding purposes you can install the VfW codecs contained in ffdshow:

Yeah, and it is only $499, that's a must-have I think. 8)
