Tested: versions plugin 1.51 on TC6.01/Windows 98

Requests:
1) Include versions.ini from versions_sources.zip in versions.zip. Because the proxy settings are not documented anywhere in versions.zip.
2) Better handling of read only .list files. It now crashes TC.

It would be nice if the file name of your plugins followed the established standard, for instance:

wfx_versions_1_5.1.zip

instead of just versions.zip

There was no update for a long time :-(

It works correctly (I use it every day) but there are some changes I dream about:

- adding (optional) timout for connection to single site. Sometimes it tries to connect for a really long time - TC seems to be frozen but it isn't.

- ignoring HTML tags in results (optional)

I will try to add your requests. Unfortunately, I don't have much time now (since I had a little baby).

Is it possible to get a version from a Website where the version-nr is followed by a | ?

I tried this following line, but that does not work:

Nokia PC Suite|http://www.nokia.de/de/service/mobiltelefone/generell/pc_suite/114962.html|Nokia PC Suite|Version| |6.3

I wonder why this line is working?!?

VMWare|http://www.vmware.com/download/workstation.html|Latest Released Version:| | |4.5.2

It's a little bit strange?!?

Thx for any help

I'm afraid you won't be able to do it this way. | - is a separating sing and AFAIK it's not possible to change it, now.

Hi Fabio,
How about your baby? I hope he/she is ok :-)

Can we know if there is any chance for an update of the Versions plugin?
I've been using it since the first release almost every day (sometimes even several times a day) and it would be nice to see some changes we mentioned above.

Indeed.
I've only recently started using TC plugins, and this is one of my favorites, so... please Fabio, tell us when can we see an updated version of Versions?

In the spirit of sharing (I appologize in advance if any of them were already posted), here are my current lists:

I would appreciate any hints on how to optimize these lists.
For example, MinGW.list returns more than the version numbers because I don't know how to include newline in the search strings (is this even possible?).

I have just found, that your totalcmd.net version of versions  differ from that at your site: e.g. the former has strange readme.
