Extract archive to non-existing directory...?

Post by *cHiNgaChg00k »

When extracting a rar archive, and the target directory doesn't exist, then the archive is extracted in the same directory where the rar archive is.

Are there anyway to specify an non-existing target directory, which is then automatically made when the extraction begins?

And if it isn't possible, please regard this as a feature request
Using the latest non-beta version of TC.

Thanx in advance 8)

I just tried it out.

1. cursor on the rar-archive
2. other panel in the target drive
3. Press alt+F9
4. press right to deselect the target folder
5. add a new foldername (which has to be created)
6. press ok

and the new dir is created and the rar is unpacked there.

Maybe you deleted the selected target drive when typing in the new foldername?

I can't get it to work. I've tried with the internal unrar function and by using Winrar thorugh TC but neither of them works as I want them to. At best the directory isn't created but the archive is extracted in the parent dir the not-created-directory (e.g. I want to extract to d:\temp\test\ but the archive is extracted to d:\temp\).
