2 digit 'Year' in multiple rename?

I'm not sure whether this simply isn't available, or I don't know where to find it, but here it goes:

I rename digital photo's to this: YYMMDD_123.
I don't have files going back to the 1900's, and do not expect to make it to the year 2100, so really, the '20' bit of 2006 is not required for me. I cannot find out how to rename my files using just the last 2 digits of the year. I know there's several ways to work around it (a second rename where I remove the '20', or simply in one go by replacing '2006' by '06'), but it has to be useful for more people then just me?
Any suggestions? Perhaps use 'Y' for 4 digit years, and 'y' for 2 digit?

Thanks for your reply Clo,

so what you’re saying is, that there is actually a placeholder [y] that can be used in a rename mask, that should return the last 2 digits of a year? Because when I try using it gives me an <error!> as output. It’s not in the Help file with all other available placeholders either, and it does this in both v6.54 that I had before as well as v7.00 that I use now, on two machines.
Is this really a bug then?

Edit: it's 7.0PB1 I'm using under Win XP btw.

Multi-rename tool: [y] with lowercase 'y' inserts 2 digit year
(uppercase Y inserts 4 digit year)
