[REQ] enable setting folders only to bold font

I can't stand using global bold fonts in the TC settings. Not a fan of the brackets around the folders either. Would like to keep the files non-bold then have the option to be able to set the folders to a bold and even a possibly different font.

Thanks!

Loving beta2 so far!

Indeed setting a bold font style for folders or specific file types would be nice.

Currently, you can at least define a custom font folor for folders (options -> color -> define colors by filetype)

To colorize folders, choose 'Add', then 'define'. In the search dialog click 'advanced' and then tick the 'attributes' and 'directory' checkboxes. Then click 'save' and choose your desired color...

Configuration -> Display -> Show square brackets [] around directories.
Configuration -> Font -> File list font (both files and folders).

Unfortunately neither of those help. I want to make folders only bold. No brackets (which I have had set for a while). For now a different color will do. Thanks.

25h17h34d - I already asked to add a way to set custom files (by mask or regexp) to be bold or italic, and there was no answer. Mr Ghisler, maybe the problem is that your virtual listboxes does not support custom font style per-line, only color? maybe there is a way to add such support?

It's been twelve years since the first suggestion, and I'm waiting for it too. Maybe Mr. Ghisler finally takes pity and will allow formatting of folder names with a different type of writing. Bold would be enough. :)
