Total Commander

Sometimes I wish I could do this:

Now, as far as I know there are directories on top and files on the bottom sorted separately. Sometime it would be cool to sort them together by date for example (they would be mixed in the file list).

This function would need an entry in the show menu and a hotkey.

What do you think?

I hope its not a duplicate request or an existing feature.

It would be very dangerous - you could easily select a directory in a large group of files without noticing.
