I suggest adding this feature in Windows Explorer to Total Commander.
Windows Explorer shows a confirmation message for a folder merge conflict. The message tells you that a folder in the destination folder and the folder which you are trying to copy or move have same names and asks whether you want to merge the folders or not.

Re: Conflict Message When Merging Folder into Folder With the Same Name
BTW: that feature already exists but for copying/moving files only, it is enabled by default and can be disabled via
Extending it to work for folders too will be nice.

CopyToDirWarn=0
MoveToDirWarn=0
Re: Conflict Message When Merging Folder into Folder With the Same Name
I was about to ask if a warning message could be enabled if you are (potentionally unwillingly) merging two folders with identical names. I did a search before I made my own post and found this thread. So I guess you can count me in as another user supporting this suggestion.
