Something like menu on right button mouse on columns with list of all possible columns, which can be checked or unchecked.
Like in Windows Explorer.
Because exist way too complicated for simple action.
If user need fine tune he can go to extended edit. But in most case it is useless.
Currently dialog make not from user point of view, but of point of view underlying implementation.
For example width columns in pixels it is not user-friendly. It is machine-friendly. Usually user do not know exact number, so this need open this dialog again at once as minimum.

Re: Make easy access to custom columns for view
I agree that it is hard to add/remove a column quickly, but there are too many possible columns and their formats for showing full list. Perhaps fast hiding columns within column set would be better, so you could pre-set columns and their formats that you may need at all (and perhaps setting hidden by default flag).
BTW you can click Apply and view changes w/o closing dialog.

No, it is sufficient to drag the column dividers (|) between the column headings to the desired width (<->).
Then save this setting immediately with: Menu "Configuration" - "Save Position" so that it is available again after a restart of TC.
