Custom columns with predifined (as built-in) columns set

Post by *Enyby »

If you start new columns set, it is totally empty. So if you want add single field to list you need manually restore default columns list.
It can one of predefined option which create new set (for example "based on ...").

Now I start with empty set, so Attributes, Size, Date, I need search and add manually. Not good.

What if other people don't need Attributes, Size, Date columns in their sets? It isn't easy to guess which columns user wants to see in new column set by default...

Then they select in "based on" item "empty set".
Most IDE for create any profile prompt source for copy settings if profile complicated.
This can be same. If I press new then dialog appear with prompt about what set used as source. Be default empty, so user can just press ok or select one from exists data set.

Isn't there a [Copy] button?

So just create one time your own Custom Column set as template,
and next time utilize the [Copy] button to create from that template a new but pre-set Custom Column.
