Lister/several files - option to jump (or not) from last to first and vice-versa

When we select several files (e.g. text files) and use the command to show them all in Lister, then we can use the keys N and P to jump to next or previous file, respectively. When reaching the last file and typing N again, or when in first one and typing P, it jumps over to the other end (first↔last).
I'd like to ask for an option to enable/disable that behavior, that is, when typing N or P towards the end of the list, a dialog should be shown, just like searching for a text and finding no more matches. E.g.

Code: Select all

[Lister]
JumpOverFirstOrLastFile=1

Why so complicated? Why not LoopView or ViewInLoop?

The name of the option is the least important thing here, it was just an example. As long as it works, it could have any name.

It wasn't an example, it was misleading description. In most programs this feature is called "loop", see IrfanView options for EXAMPLE:
  • Browsing / Editing
    If the end/begin of the folder is reached (during browsing)
    ◎ Show Browse dialog ◉ Loop current folder ◎ Do nothing (stop)
  • Video / Sound
    ◉ Use internal video/sound player:
       ☐ …
       ☑ Loop
