The status bar info in the branch view (with subdirs)

Branch view shows all files in the current directory and all subdirectories in a single file window.

I suggest to make the following changes in the status bar of the branch view:
1. Place the file extension next to the file name. Today, the file name is aligned on the left side of the status bar, and the file extension is aligned on the right side of the status bar, away from the file name.
2. Add information about total numbers of files in the branch view.
3. Display the line number of the current (selected by the cursor) file on the panel.

Thanks

1. Place the file extension next to the file name.
It is up to you to change it.
Just enable the according option:
Configuration - Options - Tabstops : [x] directly after filename

I want to see file extensions in a separate column when I use the default view in the left or right pane.
I think that in the branch view, the file name and its extension should always be together in the status bar.
And Configuration - Options - Tabstops setting should not affect the status bar.

I agree with misvin - just because you want the extension and the filename next to each other in the statusbar in branch view, doesn't mean that you want the same in the file panels.

I support that the extension position could be configured separately.
