Which hotkey do you use? F6 works fine here...

I am using F2.

F6 works, indeed.

Thanks for this toggling tip :-)

For me works Shift+F6 and F2.
Both toggles selection.
filename.ext
filename.ext
filename.ext

(no matter if "...nur den Dateinamen..." checked in Options or not)

I have tried with a fresh INI now and the problem persists.

The bug is with the new command cm_RenameSingleFile, not cm_RenameOnly, just to make that clear again... ;)

Well, I can confirm that F2 assigned to cm_RenameSingleFile does not switch filename/ext.

Sorry, in the separate dialog, only F5/F6 work for cycling.

I am not talking about "separate" dialog (do you mean F5/F6?) but standard inline renaming!

cm_RenameSingleFile does NOT cycle when assigned to F2.
cm_RenameOnly cycles when assigned to F2.

confirmed here as well. inline renaming does not toggle between filename and extension when you use the command cm_renamesinglefile for renaming. I too use F2 for renaming.
