WCMD_DEU.MNU: Plz use uniform german style for shift key

Post by *norfie² »

Please use uniform upper-/lowercase german style for shift key:
sometimes is used "UMSCH" and another times "Umsch"
Suggestion: use "Umsch" instead of "UMSCH" (only IMHO)

These changes could be done

...
MENUITEM "FTP Verbindung tr&ennen\tSTRG+Umsch+F", 552

I agree, the case should be consistent. 'Umsch' should be used everywhere.

And sometimes its even called 'Feststelltaste'

I prefer the abbreviation here, I think it's quite unambiguous and a relatively short string...

I have changed the German menu file which uses the same style as the English menu:

http://www.lefteous.de/tc/beta7/WCMD_DEU.MNU

It would be fine if menu could be included in the next beta.

Changes:
- First letter uppercase only applied to all keys
- Umschalt instead of Umsch

OK, I will use it if you really think that it's better this way...

Hm, my pb2 installer still contains the german MNU file with all modifier keys capitalized...

Did I miss some nightly build  ?

Well, all use the same capitalized form of the word UMSCH (not SHIFT). The suggestion to show the strings in lowercase form came later.
