Show tree and tabstop header

Post by *Sombra »

One panel with file list:
- Press Ctrl+T (new tab)
- Press Ctrl+F8 (tree view)
- Switch to the tab with the file list.

Now the Tabstop header is hidden.

Confirmed. Even if you close the tab containing the tree, the tabstop header in other file list tabs remains hidden until you press e.g. Ctrl+F2 or choose a customo column view in one of those.

Hmm, very strange indeed. I will try to find a workaround.

I can not confirm this part - by me the tabstop header is back again when I close the tab containing the tree.

Hm, strange. I tried it in both panels and also with a blank INI. The tabstop header is still hidden on my XPSP2.

Perhaps some differing INI-settings about Auto-Tree change or whatever cause these different shades of that bug...

I just tried with a fresh ini - the tabstop header is still restored when I close the tab containing the tree.

So it must be some Windows setting or an OS problem (I am using Windows XP SP2)

Hm, me too :)

Well, I have no idea what could cause these different behaviors. Perhaps we'll see when Christian has found a workaround...

Here it is independent of creating a new TAB at all.

When you have a Tab with tree view and switch to another TAB in the same panel the Column Header is always hidden. Switching to another TAB (wich does not in Treeview) and back restores the Column headers.

When the Commandline is hidden (cmdline=0) then a switch to the Commandline restores the Column Header.

When you change the Layout likee en/disable the second Drivebar buttons, Enable buttonbar etc. the Column Header is restored, too.

When I have "Show tab header also when there i only one tab" enabled I do NOT get the tabstop header back when closing the last (in this case the second to last) tab.

I can restore the tabstop header by changing OR just updating the view: pressing Ctrl+F1, Ctrl+F2 etc.

That is my default and closing all other TABs does not restore the headers for me, too.

Only Ctrl+F2 to updatethe long view or change to long view does restore the Heders here. Switching to short view or changing the sorting does not do the trick.

I was to hasty about Ctrl+F1 restoring the tabheader - but Ctrl+F2 and Ctrl+Shift+F2 does both restore it.

Indeed, ctrl shift F2 works here, too.
