Label not updated when deleting a previous search

When deleting an entry from the list of "Previous searches" in the "Find Files" dialog the label showing the "Search for" string (e.g., "*.*") isn't updated to the item that gets selected after the entry is deleted. Instead it reads the deleted entry's "Search for" string, which is very confusing.
