vista,move,admin rights

Post by *sz »

source dir not owned by user, needs admin rights to delete its subdirs and files:
dir
+sub1
++manyfiles1
+sub2
++manyfiles2
+...

trying to move dir to somewhere
after first file, prompt: file cant be deleted, press all as administrator
totalcmd moves manyiles1 and deletes sub1, and stops

I will try that. Do you have read rights to the source dir, or did you have to click "as admin" to enter it?

This should be fixed in RC1 (or already in beta 4). Please test!

I cannot test this because I wiped my Vista partition - sorry. Vista wasn't really usable at this time.

:shock: :shock: :shock: :shock: :shock: :shock: :shock: :shock: :shock:

I'm also not using it for any serious work, I only have it installed on an old 40GB harddisk which I connect instead of my main harddisk when I need to make tests on Vista. The system is so memory-hungry that I cannot run it under Vmware (my mainboard only has 512 MB RAM, the maximum possible)...

I checked this problem on Vista in virtual machine. I could reproduce it in 7.0pb3 and could not in 7.0rc1. So, fixed.
