Define colors by file type

Post by *aSwede »

Sorry if this has been discussed before but I did a quick search and couldn't find it.
I have defined executables in one color and directories in another color.
But if I name a directory like a full web address or something, it's colored like an executable.

Is it supposed to be like that?
Is there a workaround other than remove "com" from the defined executables?

Is excluding directories from searches enough for you?
You can find it in the "Advanced" tab in Search definition.

Otherwise you can try ShellDetails plugin, IIRC it supports information about "type", as it's meant by your Windows or a beta version of WDX TrID - it tries to identify the file type regardless it's extension.
