i had opened a rar file in the right window and sorted the folders by date in the left window. when i clicked on the date sorting, tc kept crashing and crashing again.

You double clicked instead of single clicking on the header.

indeed. i thought i clicked just once but tc crashes only by doubleclicking the header.
