1kb is not egal to 1024 bytes

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

False units stated still in the Help : «1 kb = 1,024 bytes».
This is quite wrong, 1 kB = 1,000 bytes, you must write : "1 kiB = 1,024 bytes" !
See "Free and total disk space" and some others topics...

This is also wrong!

1 KiB = 1024 Byte
1 Kib = 1024 Bit
1 kB = 1000 Byte (K is Kelvin in SI-System, that's why lowercase k is used)
1 kb = 1000 Bit

Better use bit instead of b to make differences clear.
