Indeed thumbnail extraction doesn't currently support Unicode file names. It's planned for TC7.5 or TC8.

Not unicode file names (haven't even tested with that and I can't right now). It doesn't work with text files that are saved as Unicode (oposite to DOS or ANSI encoding).

Ah, I see - no, currently the internal text converter only supports plain ANSI text. Unicode could be supported via a text plugin.
