Subst'ed drives are not displayed as disk buttons [SOLVED]

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

Subst'ed drives were displayed in 8.51, now it's not.

Current version: 9.12

No problem here!
Running TC 9.12 32 and 64-bit under Windows 7 - 64-bit.

Are you running TC as administrator while subst as normal user?

As a matter of fact subst'ed as well as drive letters of mapped network drives are user specific.
This means drive letters defined as normal user are not available for user administrator.
