There is inconsistency in thumbnail view when viewing transparent png images in darkmode on Windows 7 and Windows 10:
On Windows 10 the transparent part is a checkered background but on Windows 7 it is all transparent and dark making it difficult to see the image itself.

Re: Darkmode thumbnail transparency issue Win7 vs Win10
It seems to be caused by a plugin extracting the image. Here the plugin "imagine" creates such images when viewing transparent png files with F3.

Re: Darkmode thumbnail transparency issue Win7 vs Win10
Right you are - the checkered background is not caused by TC but the Imagine plugin. Of course I forgot to test with a clean install on the Win10 PC - with that in place the thumbnails are now shown with the dark background in the transparent part.
What I'm really trying to say is that I wish there was a way to have the transparent color be white (or configurable) as I use a lot of transparent PNG files in my work... But this might belong under another topic "TC suggestions"...
