Strange behavior in the command line: TC not put the name in quotes

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

Strange behavior in the command line: TC not put the name in quotes

Post by *siealex »

1. Create a file with at least one space in its name.
2. Click the command line and type several letters of this name, until the whole name becomes highlighted in the command line.
3. Press Enter. TC displays "file not found" and the part of the file name before the first space.
Is it intended? For such names TC must put the name in quotes.

In this case you have to add the quotes yourself.

You can put the cursor on the file and press Ctrl+Enter - then you will get the file name with quotes (if needed) in the command line.

Well, there are also Ctrl+Shift+Enter (insert file name with path) and Ctrl+P (insert just path to directory). All these shortcuts are listed in KEYBOARD.TXT.
