TC10.0 / OpenSSL

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

TC10.0 / OpenSSL

Post by *tm8544 »

This is not a bug but a feature request.

It seems that TC looks for OpenSSL dll's (libcrypto-1_1-x64.dll, libssl-1_1-x64.dll) only from the folder where TC is installed in.

Would it be possible to search for them also from PATH, if they don't exist in TC folder?
That way there would be no need to copy dll-files to TC folder after each OpenSSL update.

Wouldn't this be a security issue?

Just make Symlinks or Hardlinks to you OpenSSL files in TC
Windows 11 Home x64 Version 23H2 (OS Build 22631.3374)
TC 11.03 x64 / x86
Everything 1.5.0.1371a (x64), Everything Toolbar 1.3.2, Listary Pro 6.3.0.69
QAP 11.6.3.2 x64

I had the same thought as Horst.Epp. The only prerequisite for hard links is that the TC directory must be on the same volume as the DLLs.
