Infinite refresh in thumbnail view

Post by *blindvic »

I cannot tell you how to cause this, but sometimes when viewing a folder with images in thumbnail view i see how Total Commander constantly refreshes a part of shown files (usually 1-2 last rows).

blindvic,
Perhaps you are moving your mouse over an empty space in the last row?

Roman
Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.

Maybe the thumbnail extraction somehow causes the files to change, so TC gets a directory change notification message? Do you use the "watch directory changes" option in Configuration - Options - Refresh?

No, i haven't enabled that option. My only guess is that it is somehow related to 'Thumbs.db'. I have just tried again - cannot catch it. But i had it several times - 1-2 last of shown rows are being resfreshed constanlty ('blinking')

The only chance to find out what is going on would be running "process monitor" from www.sysinternals.com in the background and checking whether the files get changed (not only read from, but also written to).
