My Handy wants a FTP Hauptpasswort / Masterpassword?

Hallo,

I'm complietly new in this forum. Try to install via Total Commander FTP. They ask me for a Hauptpaswort / Masterpasswort. The Handy is complietly new and I never have installed a Masterpasswort. What do I have to fill in? I want to connect my handy via FTPwith my Fritzbox.

Plugins

Plugins can be accessed via the home screen.

Passwords for connections can be stored with the built-in password manager.
You set a master password which protects the passwords with AES256 encryption.
To change the master password, try to connect as usual. In the master password dialog, enter the old password, then click on the button CHANGE MASTER PASSWORD.

"How can i delete the Master Password of the ftp plugin."

Go to folder /data/data/com.ghisler.android.TotalCommander/shared_prefs/
and open the file TotalCommander.xml.
The key "AESVerify" is used for the master password.
You can delete that key or the entire file TotalCommander.xml.
Then you need to close and re-open TC.

thank you for the first instructions. To me it's very simple and I have know knowledge. I don't know how to use the built-in password manager.Which button in the total commander (version for android) shows me the interface for using?

My guess is, go the TC "home screen", launch the FTP plugin and if prompted, set your own Masterpassword, no?





Me think I will try it this weekend.... BTW, I could need a free FTP access to a server for testings.

meanwhile the problem with the masterpassword is solved. I wrote the Port-Number into the skript of Avira. But I got the notice: Host unreachable.It seems to be very complicated and I don't even know, what is the reason about.
