open directory through bookmark displays home screen in other panel

If I have a directory open in panel 1, then open a directory through a TC home screen bookmark in panel 2, the home screen is displayed in panel 1.
This behavior may have been around for a while, but I just found the way to consistently reproduce.

TC 3.0.b8
Verizon Ellipsis 10 tablet
Verizon Android 5.1

The problem does not occur with Moto Z2 phone, Verizon's Android 8.0.

Please open the bookmark list, then long tap on the bookmark and choose "Change". Then uncheck the option "Target directory".
