Hi,

This is to report a problem with TC Android Wifi plugin on a Xiaomi phone (miui 11.0.4 based on Android 10). My problem with TC wifi plugin to share out a folder started after I applied miui Jan 2020 system update to the phone. It works before the miui system update.

I'm already a beta user for TC Android and TC wifi plugin, and have enabled app permissions and set battery saver to 'no restriction' for TC wifi plugin. The phone has no sdcard storage.

I'm sharing my folder at "/storage/emulated/0/My Files".

1. When using wifi direct server to share out, the error on the phone is "could not enable access point".

2. Using "connect to wifi network", I can share out the folder and I can even successfully connect to the share using TC Android or TC Windows. But I'm unable to access the shared folder.

On TC Windows :

The shared folder appeared as [My Files/] with an extra '/' appended ?!?

The error when trying to access the folder is:

QR-Code received!
http://192.168.1.124:8081/4369
CONNECT \_QR-Code
=================
Get dir: /4369
PROPFIND /4369 HTTP/1.1
207 Multi-Status
=================
Get dir: /4369\My Files
PROPFIND /4369/My%20Files HTTP/1.1
Error: 403 Forbidden

On TC Android:

The shared folder likewise appeared as [My Files/] with an extra '/' appended.

The error when trying to access the folder is:

"Connect failed! Retrying... (Invalid redirect URI:4369/My Files//)
///wifitransfer/My Files/"

or
"Connect failed! Retrying... (Circular redirect to 'http://192.168.1.124:8081/4369/My Files/') ///wifitransfer/My Files/"

Would like to seek help to solve the issue.

Thanks and regards,
Jack

1. Creating access points is limited on some brands.

2. This is probably caused by the extreme power saving options of your phone. The app is probably already closed when you try to access the subfolder.

Just a follow-up.

Sending via Wifi network now works after my Xiaomi phone received a system app update yesterday. For sending via WiFi direct, still can't create access point.

I'm glad to be able to resume using TC Android to share my files 😀

Thanks!
