Update:

Found meanwhile some hints here: Ghisler-forum /board/viewtopic.php?t=34596

I do have the openlimit Software (siqSHXn.dll_) installed which potentially causes the crash.

I now disabled the shell ext to see if the crashes will be gone ...

But first ofc its TC that crashes and its not because of a bugged system...

And for the next bug Report please give the following infos:
OS, 32 or 64Bit, how to reproduce the crash....

1) I gave a neutral error report coming from my OS because TC crashed
2) I am a licensed TC user for more than 15 years now - I never blamed somebody here or the author for providing buggy software
3) I asked friendly to provide what else is needed from my side to examine the problem
4) As far as I could see from the post, the issue is under investigation from CG's side
5) As always in life it could be a bug in the dll from openlimit but of course it also could be a bug in TC as well ..

Nobody should sit on high horses even if he is calling himself "Sir" .

Please describe what you were doing in TC when you had this crash.

I opened 7zip-files from TC and extracted the content per drag and drop

Left window showing the 7zip-file - pressing enter - 7zip interface opened - dragging the content from 7zip interface to a NAS-folder in the right TC-window

TC doesn't have native 7zip support. Which 7zip plugin are you using? Maybe there is a newer version?

I am not using a plugin. I installed 7zip on Win7 (7zip x64 Edition v.9.20.00.0)

Maybe he is using the right click context menu? This would explain why 3rd party shell extensions like siqSHXn.dll are being loaded. So it's the usual problem with crashing shell extensions, which can be fixed by using ShellExView to exclude them.

I simply pressed enter for the file under the cursor in th left TC-window - this invoked the external 7zip-interface - then I dragged the folder from the 7zip-window to a NAS-folder in the right TC-window and dropped it there. I didn't use right mouse click.

I already excluded the openlimit-dll via shellexview and so far I had no more crashes.

Remark: before I excluded the dll, I had only crashes when using TC - there were no crashes using a broad variety of other software while the dll was loaded.
