Remote Desktop Connection: remote drives in drive list

Post by *samot »

- call mstsc.exe (Remote desktop connection) and connect to another PC without enabling access to the local drives (from the remote pc)
- start TC at the remote pc
- your local drives will not be shown at the drive-list (what would be ok)
- close the remote session (do not log out, just close)
- restart the remote session, this time with access to local drives
-> TC will still not show the drives until it restart it (the Windows Explorer will)

Same happens, if I connect / disconnect a network drive / USB stick or if I turn over to another PC for the second remote session.

Maybe it would help to react to the Session change event (see WTSRegisterSessionNotification )

For speed reasons, TC will only look for remote drives (\\tsclient) at startup. Please restart TC. This operation is very slow (can take several second) and is performed in a background thread at startup only.
