Copying seems to stop at 2 TB

Post by *Breaker »

Because of a HDD issue I wanted to copy a huge amount of files (> 2 TB) to a new drive. The next day, the copy activity was stopped, not all files were copied. It seemed that it stopped when 2 TB data was copied.

Because the copy activity takes very long, I won't try again copying all files...

Maybe you can check in the code if this is plausible or debug / simulate this easier.

I used the normal "copy" function (not the background copy function with the list).
I used TC 8.0 32 bit on Win Pro 7 / 64.

I didn't have this problem, but you can easily do the copy job again.
After pressing F5, a dialog appears.
At "Advanced options" (you may click on "Options" button first) select "4. Overwrite all older".
This will skip already copied files and continues to copy at the first new file.

Or simply use Sync tool. But that won't answer The Question...
