TC 8.01 64bit get confirmation not working

Post by *lisky »

Actually I test Win8 64bit and saw a not working function:

1. -> "Options" -> "Misc."

2. -> "Get confirmation before"

2. -> "Deleting non-empty directories"

will not work. The dir is away after hitting "del" on the keyboard!
Maybe somebody can help? I like this security point esp.
during fast working...you know that... :lol:

Are you using the Explorer delete method (Configuration - Options - Copy/Delete)? This method doesn't support this option, because the deletion isn't handled by TC itself.

And, Explorer delete method uses Windows Recycle Bin confirmation so it must be enabled in order to get it in this mode.

Yes, I use the Explorer delete method.

So it is my fault, sorry! Now I switched on the confirmation in the
recycle bin and it works fine. Thank you guys for the declaration!

I'm not really sure but something in this point is different between
Win7 and Win8. In Win7 I had NOT to switch on the confirmation
for delete in the recycle bin? Or am I wrong?

No, you are not. In Win8, the confirmation dialog is disabled by default. Only Microsoft knows why.
