TC-8.01x64 closes itself by pressing directory hotlist

Post by *krypton »

Sometimes, specially at the boot of Windows - I always execute TC at the Windows startup - or at first launch of TC after that I have open it manually, when I click with the mouse's left key on the button "Directory Hotlist (*)" TC closes itself suddenly without any error form.
Why does this happen? It's a my mistake of configuration of some functionality of the program or it's a bug?

These are the characteristics of my Operating System:
Windows 7 ultimate 64 bit with classic theme
Windows version: 6.1 (Build 7601)
TC version:
Total Commander Version 8.01 64 bit (2012-08-03)

Regards.

There aren't any errors related explicitly to TC, the only recurrent error is this:

Note: I don't understand the meaning of it, however I don't think it is pertinent with TC. I'm sorry, but some text parts are in italian.

edit-1: Maybe can be the plugins that can give problems? I have installed the following:
[wlx\LinkInfo]
[wfx\Registry]
[wfx\procView]
[wfx\Uninstaller64]
[wdx\TextSearch]
[wcx\Total7zip]
[wcx\makebat]
[wcx\iso_plugin]

For make some test I can try to deactivate few of them, except for Total7zip and iso_plugin that are the best :P.

This doesn't seem to be related to TC. Maybe Windows tries to start it while it's not fully loaded. Try starting TC with a small delay: Change the link in the startup folder from something like
c:\totalcmd\totalcmd.exe
to
c:\totalcmd\totalcmd.exe /d=10

to load it with a delay of 10 seconds.

I have tried to disable some plugins and put a delay, as you have suggested, in the shortcut of the program which is located in the Startup folder (C:\totalcmd\TOTALCMD64.EXE /d=10), and seems that the error doesn't occur anymore.
The next thing that I can try to do is re-enable all the plugins and leave the delay, in order to verify whether the "guilties" are the plugins or Windows.
Thank you very much for the help.
