Error unpacking multipart rar archives with password

Post by *Onkel »

Hello,

searched in Google and in this forum, but didn´t find this error:

I´ve downloaded a 60 files (each 250 mb) password protected rar archive.
After typing the password, unpacking runs fine till file number "part9"
None of the "two digit parts" 10 till 60 will be unpacked, every file shows "wrong password"

With winrar 5, everything is fine, so files are OK...

Seems, there´s a bug unpacking password protected volumes with more than nine files...

Regards
Onkel

I'm not aware of any such bug. How are the parts named?

Filenames

Post by *Onkel »

Hello,

XXXX.12.1.Yy.part09.rar works fine
XXXX.12.1.Yy.part10.rar results in error...

Hmmm, same number of digits...

No idea,
winrar works fine...

Under the exactly same conditions on same Drive\folder, with same free space?

Maybe the other numbers "12.1." cause confusion? Can you check this please? Just use the multi-rename tool to rename the parts to just:
test.part01.rar
[...]
test.part09.rar
test.part10.rar
