[9.0a x32]About HintsCustomField

Post by *kesdoputr »

I don't know if it is a bug but i can't find method to solve it.

1.I set some HintsCustomField for video files, and i using [=tc.fullname] on the top line, when the filename is not too long it's work perfect.

2.But when the filename is too long(we will see ... in file list)i will get two file name on the top line.

I know that the other line of filename is from the setting FileTipWindows which will show filename when file name is too long,
but if i disable this option,it will disalbe all the option of hints,it will change to gray in the setting dialog.

If i want show hint i need set FileTipWindows=1 but i will get two filename line if i use [=tc.fullname] and the filename is too long.

btw.my setting of OleComments=3

I don't know if it is a bug but i am confused if there is other setting i don't know that can show hint window but prevent to show another filename
when filename is too long, thanks for your watching. :D :D

The first name comes from TC itself, because the name in the file list is truncated. The second comes from your field [=tc.fullname].

Yes i know, now my problem is can i disable the truncated option but still show the hint window?
Because now disable this option will also disable the hint window.

Unfortunately you can't. Why do you need the [=tc.fullname] field when the name is already in the file list?

I just want to let the hint window also contain the filename, now i maybe take out the [=tc.fullname]
because the two same filename line confuse me.
