ZIP or zip (case letters) in archive menu

Post by *Zygus »

Well, can't find the exact condition but sometimes, don't know if sources or destination folder names has any meanings, TC sets new archive name with ZIP or zip as extension. Sometimes it start with zip, but choosing "cipher" or "pack as separate folders" or combination of both options makes it to ZIP, then revert to zip then to ZIP again.
It is not something serious, but a little annoying and I think it is very easy to fix. Just set it to zip for any condition (small letters).
Thanks.

TC uses ZIP if the name of the packed file (in case of one file) is all uppercase, or the name of the packed folder (in case of multiple selected files).

This has already been suggested here:

and here:

Me too always have to rename to lowercase for consistency. It would be nice to have a general option:
packerCase=n (where n= 0, 1, 2 will change to Current behaviour, UpperCase, lowerCase)
To avoid us users to lose time with this annoyance. Thanks!
