No warning when delete (to recycle bin) read-only file

Post by *nsp »

This is probably not new !
On the Configuration / MISC / Get Confirmation -> overwrite/delete read only files is ticked

We have inconsistent behavior between delete (to recycle bin) and delete permanently (TC ).

if we move to recycle bin we have no confirmation dialog shown when deleting read only file. (Same a Explorer with admin account)
If we delete permanently i got dialog and it is the expected behavior.

Could it be possible to have confirmation dialog also when moving to recycle bin ?

This is normal and will not be changed. The file isn't really deleted, just moved. You can use Undo via right click on the desktop in this case.

It would be very problematic to add this: For example, when you delete a folder, it will be moved to recycle bin as a whole. The files inside are not checked for their attributes. TC would have to look through all the selected folders whether they contain any read only, hidden, or system files.
