Hello.
I have noticed, that when I transfer files from my FTP-server to my PC, the 'read only' attribute is always removed.
The server is G6FTP Server v3.10 using Explicit SSL only, and the client is Total Commander v.9.21a and 9.22. (SSL/TLS)
Actually it is kind of a good thing I was just wondering, if it's common FTP practice, that file attributes are ignored.
I have not been able to find any settings for it in either G6FTP or TC.
Please give me a clue, or perhaps if you know a useful link to the subject.

FTP does NOT support DOS/Windows file attribs. Did you try to change file attribs on FTP server? Can you see "Read only" there?

To Usher.
Thank you for your reply.
Yes. Through remote access I can both see and turn on/off attributes of files on the server.
But I didn't know, that attributes was not supported in FTP transfer. When I download files through FTP, they always end up +a -r -h -s, which suits me fine.
Just wanted to know, if that was a standard behaviour, or if it could be changed.
