maybe something like this

Also known as: not-a-virus:PSWTool.Win32.RAS.a Kaspersky]

... is a password hacking tool which allows user to reveal windows product key and other microsoft applications' serial numbers and passwords. It is also capable of generating new password in order to avoid bruteforce cracking.

Hi, schwarol.

If you read my post, the one before yours, then you know what it is.

Hi, HolgerK.

After the misleading false alerts created by the most sophisticated AV products have been extensively cleared up, I would like to come back to the real issue reported inside this thread:
HolgerK wrote:Confirmed at first (Vista ultimate SP1), but found a way to fix it:

Download: http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/shell_menu_view.html

and enable these entries:

Code: Select all

Menu_Name|Extensions|Menu_Key|File_Type|Disabled|Filename
---------+----------+--------+---------+--------+-------------
find |Directory |find |Directory|No |C:\Windows\Explorer.exe
find |Drive |find |Drive |No |C:\Windows\Explorer.exe
HTH,
Holger
Good man! Thanks for solving this little nuisance brought to us by Vista SP1.
(I know whom i will ask should SP1 ever make its way onto my machine and cause trouble to me. )

Regards,
Karl

HolgerK: I too thank you. I finally got fed up with not having that old handy search on my context menu, and came here hoping to find an answer, which I did.

A suggestion: the ShellExView v1.23 - Shell Extensions Manager is more robust and has more features. It too is available from NirSoft, as well as a ton of other useful looking utils.

Thanks again bud.

ShellExView is not a replacement for ShellMenuView but a companion. You cannot solve the problem discussed here with ShellExView.
