CTRL+[SHIFT]+B and SELECTION

Post by *guillaume0078 »

Hello,

Today, when use use CTRL+[SHIFT]+B, TC doesn't take care of what items are selected.
it would be useful that TC lists subfiles & subforder of only the directories that are selected (if any). If no selection, same behaviour as today.

Thanks.

Support, this would be a useful feature.

I sometimes miss this, too, and use cm_ShowOnlySelected after Ctrl+B for a manual workaround.

I miss such option sometimes too.
My workaround: I have a search saved as "branchview2" with the option attributes > directory (unchecked)
I call to the command with "LOADSEARCH branchview2", later I add to listbox the search results.

Also, a similar option that I miss, is: show the selected directories/files in a parent folder. (Yes, for those purposes there are wfx plugins like temporary panel, File Redirector, etc.) But, this is another history.
I can read English, but... I write like Tarzan. (sorry)

I suggested that feature a long time ago.
Even Christian said he will try to implement it.

How this works for you?
On Ctrl+B I always get listed whole tree, regardless of what is selected or displayed

My workaround is to use cm_ShowOnlySelected after Ctrl+B.
I use a custom column view with [=tc.path] as a column and sort the list using this column.
Then I can mark all files inside these dirs (Shift+PgDn or similar) and use cm_ShowOnlySelected to hide the others.

Not comfortable, but working...

Hey there buddies. Sorry for kicking the skeleton, but I'd still need this feature, 12 years later. Is it implemented somehow? Selecting few folders and hitting ctrl + b doesn't do the trick 4 me :(

Have you tried Ctrl+Shift+B like the OP was suggesting?
