Close button to tray?
Is there a way to set TC to close to the tray when you click the close button or use the Alt+F4 Exit button like it does for the "Move icon to system tray when minimized"? Maybe add a setting for this?
Benefit ?

Hi Bob !
• Do you mean that TC would be only as an icon in the tray when you restart it then ?
- If so, I confess that I don't see which benefit is in such a feature, except if you have legion of icons in your Tray (perhaps…).

No, it would close to the tray like it minimizes to the tray now. I use the mouse mostly and sometimes I hit the close button instead of the minimize button and it gets frustrating. Other program do this (i.e. Clipmate, HyperSnap, etc.). They have an option for it in the settings.
chmod a+x /bin/laden -- Allows anyone the permission to execute /bin/laden

Icon ?

So, as its icon in the Tray when closing accidentally (or not)…
- I also use mainly the mouse, and that occured to me too…
… often when opening the Help Menu (originally set just below the Win [×] button ).
- In my custom Menu, I moved the Help popup to the left, so a mouse slip here doesn't close TC anymore…
- But nothing against such an option - which seems feasible, since you know another programme having it -
maybe it depends on the used programming language ?

Yes, I was referring to an INI file setting.
I think it should be the same type setting that TC has now for the Minimize to Tray. That way you can pick one or both. And it would be nice to have the "Alt+F4 Exit" button on the bottom row follow suit to whatever you have the setting at.

There are a lot of programs that run in the background in the system tray that have that option anymore. It's too easy to accidentally click the close button when trying to minimze and then the program closes.

Miranda IM --- No-IP

• Well, I see this totally now, I didn't get it prior, but still we have this in Miranda IM and No-IP for example…
- I don't know whether that could be set as the same INI option for the Alt+F4 TC button too,
since that calls two different functions (it seems), the internal one and the Win one
(probably is it the same, but I'm not a programmer). We could imagine something like :

ExitToTray= Flag
0 : Disabled (default)
1 : Exit to Tray from the Win close button only
2 : Exit to Tray from the TC Alt+F4 button only
3 : Both (if possible)

That would be nice and hopefully easy to implement. Support++Clo wrote:[Configuration]

Exit button in the buttonbar.ghisler(Author) wrote:How would you actually end TC then?
Yes, there's a problem here. A user could have hidden the buttonbar and then have no way to exit TC.
